CHINESE CHOW MEIN

SERVES 6

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g Chicken Breast/Tofu (cut into thin strips or diced)

  • 375g Sharwoods Egg Noodles

  • 300g Mushrooms

  • 300g-500g Kale

  • X2 Bell Peppers

  • X2 Carrots

  • X2 Spring Onions

  • X2 Bok Choy

  • X2 Green Chillis (thin slices)

  • X5 Cloves of Garlic (minced)

  • 300ml Chicken Stock

  • X3 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce

  • X1 Tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce

  • X1/2 A Tablespoon Light Soy Sauce

  • X2 Teaspoons Chinese 5 Spice

  • X1 Teaspoon White Pepper

  • X1 Teaspoon Chilli Flakes

  • X1 Teaspoon Salt

  • X1 Teaspoon Pepper

  • X4 Tablespoons Groundnut Oil

  • X1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil

COOKING:

  1. Mix ingredients together and rub into meat. Let it marinade for about 2 hours for best taste.

  2. Preheat oven to 180°c (fan assisted), on grill setting.

  3. Place meat in the middle of oven, cook for 30-40 minutes (depending on how well you want meat cooked). Rotate meat half way through cooking.
