We headed over to Meat & Shake while in watford recently, thought we would try out the local burger and steak joint for lunch. Looked great from outside and in. It wasn't busy so we were sat immediately and had a good butchers of the menu. Note: Meat & Shake have both a lunch menu and a regular menu - be warned, lunch menu items are smaller in size/weight than regular menu items.

Chipotle Chicken Burger

After a good butchers at the menu we ordered: X2 Truffle Shuffle Beef Burger 6oz; X1 Buttermilk Chipotle Chicken Burger; X1 Dirty Dog; X1 House Seasoned Skin On Fries; X1 Breaded Onion Rings; X4 Apple Elixir's. Though it wasn't busy our food took quite a while to arrive and was frustrating as the order was very simple.

Truffle Shuffle Beef Burger 6oz and Apple Elixir Mocktail

Though the food was tasty, whilst cooked well and nicely flavoured, the size/portions weren't big at all; meaning we felt a little short changed in that sense. "We Like Big Portions Dammit!" said one of our team. The pricing is okay, drinks are expensive, but somewhat relevant to many london gourmet burger establishments, however the portions weren't up to the standard's so common. Price/bang for your buck is always important to us so we are marking Meat & Shake down regarding this aspect.

Nonetheless, we did enjoy the food! We also loved the vibes of this place, and the cool (what sounded like chinese music) music playing. We recommend you give it a try and let us know what you think of your experience!
